SINCE 1924
The Leicester Magic Circle has a long history and is one of the oldest magical societies in the world.
The club currently meets at Ulverscroft Manor Activity Centre on the first Monday of the month, and at various locations around the county, on the third Monday of the month (except Bank Holidays) to discuss magic, share ideas and enjoy lectures from some of the best magicians in the world.
In 2024, the club celebrated 100 years! One of the events during that year was an evening in the GRAND HOTEL LEICESTER.

Welcome to a place where magic thrives!
We're a club for anyone who takes magic seriously, whether you've been performing for thirty years or you've just started working through your first book. Members range from full-time professionals to hobbyists who've never performed for anyone but family.
First Mondays — guest lectures. Ulverscroft Manor Activity Centre, Markfield, 7.30pm. Visitors welcome for £10.

Third Mondays — Magic Sessions. An open evening to demo and practise, or just watch, learn and socialise. Every genre — coin, card, rope, mentalism — and themed nights through the year. No pressure to perform, ever. Open to all, 16 and above, 7.30pm. The venue moves around the county, so check the next date below before setting off.
You can just come along. No invitation needed and nothing to prepare. Email or call beforehand if you'd like us to look out for you.
You don't need to be able to perform. Nobody will ask you to. Plenty of members spend their first year watching and learning.
Membership is £90 a year, or £7.50 a month — the same total either way. A full season is ten lectures, which at the visitor rate would cost £100 on its own, so membership pays for itself and the Magic Sessions come free.
